The Group Account Director is an advisor and partner to the client at the c-suite level.  They have developed a keen ability for managing client based multi discipline projects across the agency. They are able to identify opportunities to grow their and their client’s business. The Group Account Director will be well versed with a strong foundation in integrated campaigns, but also the digital space.  He/she will possess strong people leadership skills.

  Essential Functions:

  • Provide strategy, vision, and continuous improvement to advance the relationship with clients
  • Lead, inspire, mentor and strategically guide an account team to achieve stated business goals and objectives
  • Hold team and individuals accountable for growth goals and revenue targets on their accounts
  • Provide strategic support on key accounts and personally manage at least one account
  • Guide clients and help achieve business objectives with strategic and creative ideas that achieve memorable business results
  • Participate in business development, always seeking out new opportunities
  • Drive revenue and organically grow pieces of business
  • Establish and maintain service delivery framework, ensuring the team is current on best in-class processes and procedures
  • Manage work load and work process by facilitating regular meetings with account team, overseeing updates and accuracy


  Job Specifications / qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or similar fields
  • 10+ years experience in account management
  • Demonstrated experience managing $10million+ accounts
  • Experience managing relationship with board level clients (e.g. c-suite’s)
  • Experience managing and monitoring P&L across large scale account
  • Exceptional leadership/management skills and superb oral and written communication, with seasoned presentation skills
  • Flawless delivery that meets strategic goals and high quality
  • Ability to represent the agency and the client in a polished, intelligent manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and persuade staff, peers, and clients
  • Proven ability to lead a team
  • Team player and team leader who is results-oriented, proactive and has a strong work ethic
